About Myself: Well, I'm not a big fan of writing about myself. Nonetheless, here goes... I work full-time at the Missouri University of Science and Technology as a Video Production Specialist in relation to Distance Education. When I'm not doing that I'm working with our independent production company (Onyx Dragon Productions, LLC). We've filmed many short films, worked on a few TV shows, filmed one full-length film (which is still in post production) and working on my first full-length, filmed a few weddings, commercials, worked with SIDEKICK Sketch Comedy of The Skinny Improv of Springfield, Missouri and many, many other projects.

When I'm not doing those types of things, I'm usually working with church matters and when I'm not doing that I'm usually relaxing... or writing.

Writing is one of my fondest passions. Though I think I have developed better into a script writer (rather than a short story or novel writer), short stories is where I started and I still enjoy them so.

Keep up the good works, peeps.

UPDATES-- (12-18-08)
1. Currently developing chapter 6 and 7 of "The Agency" [note all stories with either "Agent" or "Agency" within title]. The story is about to blow up big and take a turn--quite a turn.

2. Developing a prequel to "Exit to Nowhere." Sure to be a scary treat, I assure.

3. UPLOADED latest addition to "Jason Richard Wright." Check out Faye.

Title article: You as I see It, Chapter 2

Map
No map, yet. I would say it's more of an essay, than story at this point. The idea is that the character is expressing himself and in the end, perhaps a story will have been told. I kind of make it up as I go and am constantly looking for ways to confuse the method. More than anything it started as an homage or tip of the hat to Chuck Palahniuk (author of "Fight Club").

Perhaps we could call it Link's Madlibs. Eventually, there will be some "revelation" to it all, but I'm not sure yet what that is. I'm trying not to think too much about it, so it remains fresh and distorted.

Again, really liked your poem. It was very true in a lot of ways, the feeling I thought was described very well.

I really liked the flow of the poem as well, it slipped through my lips as oxygen... effortlessly. Thanks for the poem, well done.

Nice
Well, well written and very touching and reminiscent. Not that I've lost a lot of friends in my day or have had the pleasure of knowing when I was going to lose one up front. It's a hard thing to say goodbye, whether upfront or after the fact.

I really, really appreciated the sentiments of this poem. Excellent.

Title article: Bodies of Evidence - Chapter 2

Excellent.
I really like how this story is going. Like the directions you're taking.

Poor Preston. Just fyi, there were a couple of typos, no biggies. I have 'em, too. Just fyi.

I shall continue to read this mystery. I'm enjoying it very much. The movement of the story reminds me of "The Maltese Falcon" by Dashiel Hammett, if you've ever read that one. Good read. Laters.

By the by
I meant to mention this before, but forgot. A little constructive criticism, I like how you used abbreviations like "DP" and so on, but even for me who studies a lot of cases and watches a lot of crime docs, I still found myself wondering what someone was from time to time. I appreciate the feel of it in dialogue, because it shows realism people would most likely abbreviate. It's a job. They do it every day, like where I work I'm called a VPS which is short for Video Production Specialist. I think you could have accomplished this by "spelling it out" in the narration. I think there was one time, too where you started a sentence with an abbreviation like this which is improper grammar, if my memory serves me right. Not that it matters too much, just something I noticed that confused me a little. Not to take away from what I said earlier, I really like it and you're writing is superb. Sorry, no offense, I hope. :)

Nicely done
The flow is what made it work for me. It had a great flow. Well, that and the wording was really nice. I especially liked "dreamy afterthoughts" and "darkening vagueness."

And I must say, it's always hard requesting/finding something that once was and now is not. That "favored past." It's always so hard to return to something when events have taken those involved in many directions and far from the original path. A sincere request, indeed, but a hard one to manage. I find it takes two. Excellent work, Anna.

Missed this
Not sure how I missed this one, but I'm so glad Ams answered it. I don't think I ever would have got it on my own. Nicely done, Dirk.

Keep it up, you're good at these rhymes---yo.

Now you done it
Excellently written, Dirk. But, now I fear I'm going to be pondering this one over and over. Thanks a lot. Just what I needed. Something else to distract me from my job. Ah, well.

I really enjoy the poem. Appreciate the thoughts, even if it will have my brain going for a while now. :)

Yo, what up home skillet?
This was a very amusing work. Thanks Dirk... and yes, the KFC line was great.

I took it as satire and not anything racist or serious rap... yo.

But then again, I often make fun of my own whiteness in this regard (not that I want to be anything other than what I am), but maybe my having done this type of humor before made it easier to read and get.

What's there to say? Dirk, you always right good stuff. And it was nice to get some Aussie references.

That said, we don't need no body coming up in Dirk's hood and getting all up in biznatch. Let the boy be. :)

Very nice
This is a very good beginning to what seems to be an interesting mystery.

I'm going to have to keep following this story, sorry it took me so long to get to it. I've seen the title here and there, and it's always intrigued me but I am just now getting to it.

It was a little odd, coincidentally I have a detective character named David SPENCER and another female detective named Mercedes MASTERSON that I write. It was odd seeing those two names pop up in a story not written by me, especially since your Peter Spencer was a detective. Anyway... it just struck me as ironic.

That said, good stuff.

Oh wow! that is soo awesome congrats to you and your wife!

Yeah, I wrote those stories a long while ago. I'm going to clean them up and maybe post them again. Since I'm learning new skills all the time, my old writing seems terrible to me when I look back on it. I guess thats just the way it works, though
