About Myself: Well, I'm not a big fan of writing about myself. Nonetheless, here goes... I work full-time at the Missouri University of Science and Technology as a Video Production Specialist in relation to Distance Education. When I'm not doing that I'm working with our independent production company (Onyx Dragon Productions, LLC). We've filmed many short films, worked on a few TV shows, filmed one full-length film (which is still in post production) and working on my first full-length, filmed a few weddings, commercials, worked with SIDEKICK Sketch Comedy of The Skinny Improv of Springfield, Missouri and many, many other projects.

When I'm not doing those types of things, I'm usually working with church matters and when I'm not doing that I'm usually relaxing... or writing.

Writing is one of my fondest passions. Though I think I have developed better into a script writer (rather than a short story or novel writer), short stories is where I started and I still enjoy them so.

Keep up the good works, peeps.

UPDATES-- (10-07-08)
1. Uploaded "He Comes Upon a Wish" chapter 2.

2. Uploaded "Lawless" chapter 1. This piece is a western, but with a different touch--it's got plenty of vampire folklore.

3. Also recently uploaded "The Fall of Babylon" chapter 2. This story is going to be amazing for me, because it's my final story in my Babylon collection. Most of my stories on here are of that collection. A great deal of my characters are overlapping in "The Fall of Babylon." For example: David Spencer, Jason Richard Wright, Morgan (from Jason's story), Johnny & Mercedes Masterson (from "NOIR") and others. I may cry by the time I finish this one, because I'll be putting away so many characters. Many I've grown to love. I know I was teary eyed when I finished "Rose's Thorn." It's hard when you know you've reached the end of a character. That's tough stuff.

continued...
But it wouldn't mean that all women were the same. My wife and I had a very different relationship from the start in comparison to the others. I'm not bitter about it, everybody's got their own thing and their own reasons for either being in a relationship or not. I'm not okaying messing around, I'm just saying... sometimes its better to call it off before it runs too deep. There are some people that should have never married, because they didn't have a decent relationship to begin with. At any rate...

I rant.

None of this changes anything about I feel about the poem. Excellent. Loved it. I felt for it, from my own perspective. Life's hard sometimes. But I think you know that...

Nice
The precision of this poem was excellent and of course the emotion. Without the emotion, the precision would be meaningless.

I don't think the poem was saying ALL guys are liars, just ones she'd met. But I could be reading that wrong. I wish life was so simple that we could just throw entire groups of people (whether gender, race, sexual orientation, etc.) into a category and it was true... but it isn't. Not because I desire to be prejudic, mind you. Just saying, I wish life was soo simple that we could just know how certain people worked. Kind of like the aged-ol' question, "What do women want?"

The truth of the matter is that sometimes there are strong characteristics, but that doesn't mean all. I'm not mad... I don't get mad even when people say that all men are liars. Whatever, that's their experience. But it's not necessarily truth.

Before meeting my wife, I had the worst track record with women. I could write a similar poem about all that.

Sucked
Not really, just giving you a hard time which continues the hard time we've been giving each other in the forums. At least this way I'm being beneficial to your project and getting myself credits while being a total jerk.

Seriously, though. I really liked it. Knowing people who have done the slitting of the wrist thing, I found it very accurate. The fact that it was short and sweet added to the realism, I thought. Usually, if your at that point you don't want to talk about it. So, you're gonna keep it short and sweet.

I'd give you lots of hugs but I'm never gonna be able to give as many as Tarhead did, so I'm not gonna try. Besides, after a while, it's gonna start looking funny.

Hope your new week is better than the old one.

Good description
... of those who have "seen" things they cannot explain and cannot get anyone to believe or understand.

Too often the request is simple in such cases, it seems, but the response is so complex.

A nice piece of work covering several aspects of a "haunting."

At least, that's what I thought.

Awesomeness...
I remember why I love your poems, because they have an old school Gothic romance about them.

Dark, exquisite, poetic, flavorful, intelligent.

In other words... fabulous. Keep on writing, you got good stuff sanctioned up in there.

Superb.

Anna
Once again you have a wonderful piece of poetry. I really liked the flow and breakup thereof upon occasion.

The themes and imagery were awesome. You have a way with words and descriptions, you couple them well.

Whew... anyway, I really enjoyed the read. Fantastic, as always.

Haiku
I enjoy haiku, it's good stuff and yes can be difficult to pull off. But I find it fun. Good job.

Ah, yes...
And I was so excited to see you had written something new. Keep it up.

You're definitely one of my favorite writers on this site, if not my absolute favorite.

Fab
I enjoyed this. It didn't take me long to realize the story you were going to be telling. It is indeed a sad one, I mean come on... who cares what she looks like?! She's a little girl.

Anyway... it was a sad tale, though it had a nice "ending" so to speak. In the respect on how the little girl took it.

It did have more of a prose feel to it, and maybe perhaps the flow would be better as Michelle noted. Though, I liked it either way.

The irony of it all is that you titled it "Pretty China" and that it was all about putting the "better looking" girl forward, but because of this choice we got to see "Ugly China." Not that China is the only country to ever pull stunts like this, but it is a harsh thing in my mind.

Whew... I need to stop. I am on a soapbox, good gravy.

Oh wow! that is soo awesome congrats to you and your wife!

Yeah, I wrote those stories a long while ago. I'm going to clean them up and maybe post them again. Since I'm learning new skills all the time, my old writing seems terrible to me when I look back on it. I guess thats just the way it works, though
