I liked it. The story was a little offbeat but the descriptions of her feelings were well done you conveyed her urgency to escape rather well. I liked the line "He won't understand, because I don't understand."

I enjoyed the story especially because of the descriptions. The way you described the car starting, the snow falling on the injured girl and the man with the gun, and especially driving in the snow were all masterfully written.

Great ending my friend. Cudos to you for going against the norm and not falling into the patterns other stories concerning alien body snatchers and such. For a second I thought being strangled would make Corby pull the trigger but you tricked me good.

It reads well and drew me in, I loved the line "And it only cost me a half pack of Luckies Nick thought" it tells you so much with so little and balances out the beautiful but wordy descriptions.
