I'm new to writing; more so to sharing...any and all critiques are welcome.

I write about what I know and try to make it pretty clear cut. I don't use a lot of symbolism, so what you read is what I intend to convey. Thanks :)

I understand that it may not have been so clear, it was definitely written off the top of my head and with little re-writing. I was trying to describe what it is like to be in love because the ones we love most hurt us sometimes, and even then they are the only ones who can make us feel better...thanks for the comments!

this was so close to the way a woman thinks in every day life and such an interesting concept to connect two stories through journal entries! i'll read the book if you write it... :)

I didnt think it was so bad to read, but yes the font could change! I think alot of people can relate to this feeling of not trying to upset the person who being abused. Maybe you could write a follow up about being able to tell her how you really feel about the situation? Just a thought...

This is by far the best thing I have read on the website. I loathe cats and they have always seen me as an enemy so I related to this story somewhat as a premonition of what might happen to me in that situation. Haha. Really good writing though! I never became bored at any point at all.

i just want to say that this poem left me completely breathless. i think it is the most beautiful way of conveying pain and desperation i have read. i think there is a fine line between being overbearing on a subject like this and being peacefully honest and this is definitely the latter. nice work.

this was extremely fun to read! i really appreciate your use of words and their relation to each other. it was an exploration of their similarities without stretching the meanings behind them. very well done.
