Nineth story in a series of stories which began with ASHES, BABY, CRUCIFIX, DOLL, EVENING, FROCK, GARDEN AND HOUSE.

Title article: Random poetry to my dearest heartache

Quite a collection. Overall a good combination of poems all relating to the same theme I take it. I had to read a few times before it all gelled, but once i did it grew on me. Good work.

Dual desires pulling each way is what gives this story its strength and interest. The combination of prose and poetry is done well, adding rather thna distracting from the story line. Good, I'd say.

This was(is) good. Written well and lucidly. Taking the subject and making it stand clear of pornography is a sign you take your craft seriously. The part at the end was good.

His farewell letter
Came today,
But you
Unknowing this

Took it to the window
For extra light
And unfolded slowly
Like one

Unwrapping
Some precious gift,
Read the lines
He’d written there.

You held the letter
A foot or so away;
Looked out
Of the window

To take your mind
From the letter’s hurt;
The words,
Scrawled across

The page,
All passion
For some foreign port;
Some new found love,

Some other girl
Whose features
He has named
And praised.

But you
He barely mentions,
Or asks
How you do;

How bares
Your heart and soul;
He knows only
Of his heart

And present state
Of soul;
Leaving you
Quite broken

With a heart
That’s not quite
Whole.

Yes, I like this lucid poem of love. The language has a simplicity that makes this feel so honest, so sensitive, as if it really did (does) affect one.

A very good story here unfolded. Your ability to state the story so lucidly and build and fill out the characters in such a short space shows good talent. I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Title article: Please Know

A very good poem in structure and theme. I am always keen to click on to one of your poems when I see them and i have not been disappointed yet with what i have read. The lines:

And many disruptions still litter this sky

Laughing, hurting, breathing, I let out a sigh

You have lost sympathy, as you rip out my pride

If I have to leave this, please know that I tried.

Are very good.

Title article: The World Next Door

You can write a darn good poem at the best of times, but here you have exceeded your own dear self with this extended play of a poem. The structure of this poem is so professional, so talented that it needs a better review than I am capable of giving. So much to speak on , so much meat on this poem. I love these lines:

Since I was the lonely one who
Was moved by my bypassing
I just may well be the only one now
With both feet on the ground
Still left standing around
Who has already begun to contend
With a greater understanding
Of how a good kick in the ass
Can often times take us a lot farther
Than the flavoring of any dream

If this isn't darn good poetry then it has not been written yet.

These words from the poem i just loved :

And as I did, my charming,
Albeit brief encounter
With this nameless grace
Sparked an imaginative smile
Upon my expectant face

I want to read them all over and over.

Title article: What Ever Is To Come
Date: 2008-10-08 06:30:55

I wanted to add that I found these lines really good:

Growing forever frail, dreams rotting in the ground.

I crawl, ears ringing from drowning sounds.

Picking up the pieces, but the puzzle never found.

Watching friends, as they crumble all around.
