About Myself:

Terry Collett has been writing since 1971 and published on and off since 1972. He has written poems, plays, short story and short novels. He is married with eight children and eight grandchildren. His work has been published in magazines and anthologies on-line and off. His main ambition is to have a book of his stories and poems published.

I love this lucid and well composed poem. It has that dark sad edge, that ache in the soul, that I want a better world thasn this, feel. The lines:
I'm falling apart inside

I wish I could just forget why

I know it's my fault

The whole world came to a halt

Screaming, how could I just let her die?

says a lot. Good good.

This is a really good existentialist story. Reminds me of some aspects of Sarte's early work and maybe Camus. But this is your story not there's and you have done good work on this fine story from beginning to end.

A top notch story as they say. All the ingredients were here. The moving story unfolds wonderfully, the emotions very touching and well paced. One good romantic story I'd say.

I thought this was an excellent poem/song and enjoyed the sheer thump, smash, smack of it all. I can imagine this to music, I can feel the inner wanting come out and it does with a bang.

It's as if some one had found a lost work by George Orwell on some unknown aspect of his life in Africa. But this is not Orwell this is You and in a different age, a different place, a different storyline, yet it has Orwell's honesty, his straight forward narative, his lucid writing. I did enjoy this sample of your life and this aspect of it.

I wanted to select a few lines as an example of how good the poem is but i could not make up which ones to select so decided not to. The overall effect is good and lucid and makes its point and does so in a style which has become you own now.

There is a certain innocence about this short story that is enaging. The theme is well put and the childlike lucidity takes the reader on a short but nontheless interesting walk.

Good poem; it unfolded well and related the underlying story/poem well. The moral aspect is unimportant in love or where the heart is attached as Shakespeare knew and wrote.

I have not anything in this genre for years. This was good and although it was not my usual kind of story it held my attention and I found it enjoyable to read.
