About Myself: I was born in Eire in 1949, and have lived in Australia for almost thirty years. My hobbies include writing, songs and stories. I like to sing when I’ve had a Guinness or two. My reading preferences would be all poetic material that has a level of ambiguity to it. My pet hate is People who have changed the spelling of the English language and who criticize people who have not.
My ambitions are, to remember what it was like to be young, and to tolerate those that currently are young.
I have three sons and seven grandchildren and I am buoyed by the news that two thirds of the jobs my grandchildren will be doing have yet to be invented.
Although I have been married for 38 years I believe that conventional marriage is fast becoming a useless and mostly destructive institution.
I was raised a catholic but fortunately life has somehow managed to beat every last drop back out of me.
I believe that my smile is own sacred possession and can only be earned or stolen by others.
I hunger genuine criticism, I search for magic in every corner of the earth and I am proud that during my life I have rebelled against almost everything and anything and at almost every opportunity.

This gave me a shiver. I thought the flow had a bitter sweet to it. I liked that. There are so many things happening with this poem that i will enjoy reading it several times. Thank you.

I never 'tire' of a writers good imagination. I loved it. I think a better title maybe: 'Blood Presure'The tention and the presure for such a short piece was very well executed.

Not just a sad story but a very well written sad story. Your craft as a writer shows in every line. Well done

I thought you did a great job on this piece. I adore, bad spelling and bad diction, especialy in colloquial language. I smiled from the beging to the end of every line. Weell done

Sophie, I felt every word. To articulate such feelings makes you a worthy poet.

Moneyed faces are what simple folk in far flung regions see when they encounter people from the general industrial population

Yes you are right Ash. This is a rerun with a couple of tweeks. I thought it suited the present economic time

This was my thoughts on how society from the time of the industrial revolutions has had a death wish with time, speed and consumption. And how underneath our attempts to turn tides, nature always has the last say.

i'll have to buck the trend on this one. It reads like a personal rant at body or bodies unknown. like someone had recently rattled your cage. I am usually wrong in interpritation of poetry and I hope I am.
