About Myself: Accountant, 55, aspiring writer. Married 2 children, 2 cats (not married to the cats but they think they rule the roost). See gallery for more pictures - George was starting to demand appearance money so I relegated him to the background.......teach him to be sassy!

Started writing last July and found that I couldn't stop. Manuscripts now comprise 3 finished novels (60,000; 85,000; 65,000 words respectively) one in progress (currently 20,000), 2 compilations of short stories (total 100,000 words), and some messing around with poetry, although I must confess that it's not my favourite.

That started as limericks on birthday and anniversary cards and now I can't get off the hook.

If anyone knows of a cure............I may be interested (although not JUST yet).

Sorry about the deletions, but they now form part of my first publishd work on www.lulu.com called "Selected Short Stories - Volume 1" please check it out.....

Hi! I just realized I haven't signed your guestbook yet so here we go. you might want to update your profile so it's not saying that the picture of you is George the cat lol
Feedback from Philip Neale (philneale1952): Now look, you've only got my word for it that the picture really isn't me..............agter all, I am a story teller.

Will get it swapped pretty damn quick guv'nor...

Phil (Or george) - he's pretty cool though (Geoge, not me............although....)

Well first off I would like to say that your mystery stories are some of the best if not the best I have ever read.

Second,

Hi.

Hi....
Feedback from Philip Neale (philneale1952): Thank you for signing in. Back at home now, it's 6.55 UK time and we've got House and Shark on TV tonight. Only watch US dramas, UK ones aren't up to much and there's too much bad language.

Phil

Must confess that I had to look up Postmodernism before venturing to comment on your submission.

I'm still no wiser really, and am unsure as to whether this work has a message which I can't understand, or is a work of satire.

Alternatively you could be just sitting there waiting for the first sucker to come along and try to offer some clever critique.

Not me. I found the use of the cursor as ally/opponent interesting, and utilised the same concept in my first book 'Talk About Laugh' when Microsoft Word Help sent an Office Assistant to try to guide through the work.

We engaged in some verbal fencing but I won in the end.

Bit of explanation wouldn't go amiss please.

Engaging
I liked this. Will you be writing more? It could be a series, developing as the boy grows older and the threat become a reality instead of a figment of his imagination.

You'd then have something in the way of a saga, and who knows where that could end.

Good story (or start), and attention to detail in the text was excellent - reminded my of the Eiderdown Wars I used to fight using toy soldiers when I was a small boy (physically not mentally as now)

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
My God Moriarty, the secret's out!

Quick Holmes, get the cucumber sandwiches and let's beat it.

No, not the sandwiches fool, that'll flatten 'em.

Oh no! Too late, here comes the sand witch......boy are we in trouble....(fade out to sounds of the Dick Barton theme).

Rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb.....and EGG.

LNSA
Good, fast-moving script (could be a TV drama), highly charged amd atmospheric plot.

The scene shifting kept the entire thing on an edge, and your use of clipped conversations over the phone had me going all the way to the bottom.

Like it.

Well
OOhhhh.....somebody's s bit needled then aren't they?

Back to the poem, the sarcasm was sharply delivered and well constructed within the poetry.

Kind of "up yours" wasn't it?

The Final Installment.
Look, you're all going to have to be patient.

I've already been caught out by the new scale of charges, and one story cost me 5 credits rather than the 3 I was expecting...........that however was down to me missing the point about the same 24 hour period.

Yeah, yeah - tight git.....what on earth do you expect from an accountant? Generosity???

Not falling down that pit again..........the final chapter (7) will be posted sometime tomorrow to get around the problem.

Next up.........."Stick".......a murderous tale of revenge and some other stuff which I'm keeping to myswelf for the moment, so go and get knotted (just kidding).

Just can't wait to see what your 'critics' make of this one Bubbly.

Sounds like a taste of their own medecine to me, as a mere disinterested observer.

What??????????????????
Ok dude, here's where it is.......

If 'old' means ancient, that I am most certainly not. At 55, and a mere youngster (the kids ay I'm as old a my shoe size and that is a 9)I reserve the right to put any old fiction down on paper.

I'm not a flag-waver, and have no alliegence to our overpaid and cossteted royal family (no capitals you'll notice).

I do take a lot of time and trouble, after the initial enthusiastic writing burst, to read, re-read, and edit the stuff I've done prior to publishing it here.

Guess away my friend, I could also my a homicidal axe murder with a penchant for fiction.............you'll never know.

Phil (or is it?????)

Flash
Good piece of flash fiction, but I felt it could have led to more. Will it lead to more? It deserves to.

If that's what youy're looking for.........go for it.
