About Myself: Alright, what can i say about me?
I have every book i have ever read, even my child hood books, which i used to stay up all night reading with a flashlight under the covers. I made choices that lead me to Parting for the 4th of July on Route 101(on the beach) in Oregon, to debauchery standing at the end of Route 1 in Key west for Fantasy Fest. Also my 25 B-day, what a way to celebrate turning a 1/4 of a century. I'm 30 now living in the Midwest(guess where)taking care of my Grandfathers farm,(every building he built with his hands) I've been a waiter, bartender, construction worker, and lately a poker player, all while keeping books and pages of thoughts, ideas, concepts, snippets of conversations, and I'm starting to combine them into stories for all to enjoy.

You must look for sleights against you to think what you do. i simply tried to state that a person depressed sitting in a nice home, warm and well fed must simply think of those less fortunate as a base to draw upon happiness, to see how blessed they are to have such comforts. It helps to prioritize the most important things in life. Trust me, I have overcome depression myself, and battle it every day i breathe.

2 girls who have, I'm assuming, lived in the same area, went to the same school system, watch the same Mtv, listen to the same music station, and work at the same job, but aren't supposed to sound the same? If anything the chatter between the two is the most realistic. The one who just begins to see the cycle, is suddenly trapped by it. As soon as she thinks about breaking free, it reaches out and captures her. That's my take anyway. very good stuff.

R.A.Salvatore like in your descriptions of swordplay. Longer than i like to read, but still, very well written. Your characters grabbed me and your mood and environment setting was suburb.

sorry, didn't make it through the first couple of lines with out bringing this up. Are they in the sun? or in the shade? read it all, very nice. Imagery was wonderful, i was expecting something happier from the ending. I personally love dancing in the rain, every drop of water is a small bit of life falling to replenish the earth. in my opinion anyway. And yes, life is harsh, but how else would you know how you want your life to be? You have to see life how you don't want it to be.

another good one, but i have to play the critic(ass) a little. Most of the words you put in ( ) i believe you could work into the story itself a little better and remove the ( ). I guess its just a matter of opinion, but I'd work em out. Other than that, I am impressed with your ability to take any ordinary object, and spin a tale around it. I sweater, a song, ect...
little jealous too i guess. Write on, write on, someone has to keep the history books in check.

Title article: Without the Word

until we progress to the point, mentally, when we can project the feeling and image of what we want and need into the mind of who we are communicating to, we will never understand each other truly, so we use poor words, some more so than others.

And in a vacuum..... Philosophical pondering is a great exercise of the mind, but we need these flimsy words even in misunderstanding. I could point in the direction of the forest and what would you know of what i wanted without me saying "Food", or "Fire" or "Shelter"

I liked the story a lot, and as for alfred, anyone remember Elizabeth Smart? Only 18 miles from home and left alone, unchained, for hours? Not everyone is as smart as alfred wishes to be.

Title article: Antz

Reminds me of the time my friend couldn't get back into his house because the Raccoon at the back gate wouldn't let him. A Raccoon gate guard right out of Brain Jacques "Redwall" series, but hey, what do expect from a kid who lives across the street from a dairy farm.
