Your writing is among the best I've read in the poetry genre. Of course, I am not seasoned in poetry, and the first thing I want to do is ask what it's about. But I won't, only because I find that poems (as well as songs and stories)are much deeper and mysterious if I just let the words paint the picture, rather than the back story. Even your use of vulgarity (excuse me for lack of a better word)hardly seemed vulgar at all. I loved the poem, and I get the feeling it served as some a catharsis of some kind for you.

You've made me interested in poems. I like this one because (even as a man) I can understand it and relate. I used to think a poem was easy to write, but I've tried (with no success). You have a knack for it, and they are interesting and relatable. Good job, as always!

This was a good one! I've grown up with cats, and there is nothing in this story that isn't true! Nice work! Kept me interested and made me laugh at the same time.

One of those stories that hits you at the very end. Altzheimers would have been an appropriate ailment as well. It was a good story, but I agree with the other comments that there could have been more to it. The writing was good in that I felt the tension the character was feeling as I read it, which is really the most satisfying thing about reading. All in all, I liked the story very much, and did sympathize with the character.

Nicely written. I also felt a 40's-ish setting. Not sure if you meant that, but it does feel really nice, along with the sound of the jazz in the background and the smell of scotch in the air. The only thing I would change is that the story is one paragraph. I would divide the thoughts into individual paragraphs. Otherwise, it was a nice, sensual story that kept me interested the entire time!!!

Something every writer - especially writers of the macabre - could identify with. I must say there were a few points where I had to read over to understand what was going on, but the narrative was nice, and all throughout reading it I couldn't help but remember times I'd felt similar. Nice story.

Hahaha...what revenge that would be. The funny thing about ants is that they are as smart as you've described in your story, as well as hard-working. This was a nice little story, quick, to the point and different. I'll remember this one for a long time. Good job.

A REALITY check wrapped up in a nice, well written fairy tale. I liked this because it mixes the lure of fantasy with the cold-cocked smack of REALITY at the end. This poem made me smile. Well Written!!!!

I really thought this was going to end differently - similarly, but differently. I guess the mind plays out what the heart feels, even in situations like this. Sleep, and dreams, I guess, are the subconscious's ways of dealing with what we are afraid to deal with while awake. I don't know why Beacon was in a coma, but I do know he didn't want to be there. Really Nice Story!!!!

I liked the story, and at times the fast pace of the story seemed to lose me, and at other times it seemed necessary. Some grammatical issues, but nothing a 2nd draft couldn't take care of. Overall, I liked the story and the allegory of it, as well as the imagery. All I think it needs is a rewrite for grammar and such, and a polish. Nice story
