If you need an escape or just a laugh, then you've come to the right author. Take a journey through Scott's mind. You may come back laughing or crying, but you will never be disappointed.

Okay, you had me semi-hooked when I realized that it was a western. You didn't dissapoint as the story progressed, either. I might be tempted to point out to you that several elements of the story are fairly cliched--the man on the run, the 'man in black', the wagon train in danger. But being a fan of westerns, I view them as old friends of the genre as well. I would just caution you against using them too much as the story progresses, as it will get passe rather quickly. 
 
But now that the negativity is over, allow me to congratulate you on a really good first chapter, and I'll now be off to read the second, since you already have it up.
