I write a PULP/NOIR STYLE, HARDBOILED, PRIVATE EYE series set in the 1940's/1950's called "VIC SLADE: Private Eye".(complete with the cool lingo, smokey night clubs and seedy characters)
During World War 2, Vic was a Captain with the 101st Airborne and a spy for Military Intelligence. After the war, he moved back home and opened an agency offering his services as a private eye and bodyguard.
The cool thing about this series is that I'm experimenting with what I call "Improv Publishing". In other words, each chapter in the series is written "on the fly" and published as I go. There are no plot breakdowns, outlines or plans of action for the stories. It's like sitting around a campfire and making up a story as you go along. The only things I know for sure before I write is who the characters are, the rest just falls out of my head and I follow the story as it unfolds. So you know as much about what's going to happen next as I do.
