About Myself: This seems to be a popular topic directed at me, so I'll address it.
Q.
You sure seem to be a know-it-all when you comment, yet you don't do it on your stories. What's the deal?
A.
Simply, I write things the way I like to write them. I think that everyone should do the same. The reason I point out when other people fail at this is because sometimes they aren't aware of it and how disastrous it can be to their story. I, (<--example of something I like to do) know that I am writing badly when I do so, because that is what I enjoy doing and will continue to do so.

The bottom line is that I can help your story become better, conventionally and just to me (but very rarely both, together). If you'd would like that service, I would be happy to do it.

Feel free to let me know of all my shortcomings as a writer, person, or any other facet of my life as you see fit.
I will be the guy grinning on his high horse.
Cheers!
(If you're going to take the time to read something, take the time to give it an intelligent review. A sentence or two of feedback is like giving a nickel tip on a thirty dollar bill.)

Feedback from Nunyo Bidness (cookingWine): I heard it's just the reflective stink from you.

to answer your question, if the air around Earth froze it'd look like a cube, and then Subzero Earth would get placed inside an ice cube tray. I dunno why, would definitely eliminate an ice cube tray's purpose, but well, that's just what I heard... you know, just from around...
Feedback from Nunyo Bidness (cookingWine): I heard you suck.

Yes, corporate greed is. But corporations are also what has elevated us to a comparatively high standard of living so there are tradeoffs that you have to look at when analyzing these things.
Health insurers don't need to make as much money as they do.
Oil doesn't need to make as much money as it does.
But they do, and this is something that has to be accepted because you can't enforce laws on big business without expanding government and limiting freedoms.

If you really want to go down with these people, it means to stop using their services. And if you're online, you're probably using a service provided through a major corporation.

Apologies. I'm used to seeing you under the resistanceisfreedom tag. Comment, in spirit, withdrawn.

War stories aren't my bag but Jimi Hendrix is so I felt compelled to comment something on this.
There is never an excuse to not use the right punctuation. A good way to learn how is to read your story out loud, find where you need breaks and splits, then use commas and split sentences accordingly.

I like the line about behaving casually in the third or fourth paragraph. Hilarious and very distinct.
The language struck me as pretentious at times.
Overall, I liked it. I think you're talented.

Title article: Make Profits not Ethics

Ethics can't exist in capitalism. There isn't a market for it. If you want to inject ethics into the market, than I hope you would like to be behind in the technology race and in general success of the economy. You talk about deaths of children, but nobody is starving to death. You talk about a Feudal system when class doesn't exist in nearly the same terms. You're making unfair and exaggerated juxtapositions.

All I'm trying to say is that there isn't room for ethics in corporations in a competitive system like the one we have in the US, because they would be eliminated by now. Wal-Mart isn't ethical, but they run a very tight ship so they can run out "ethical" businesses.

I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you on all points, but look at things comparatively to the rest of the world, and tell me that the drive towards business over ethics hasn't treated us well.

without warning him and giving him the chance to fight back (and I'm sure, win, even if I don't know yet I can guess since this isn't the last part).

Title article: Alliance of Minds (part two)
Date: 2008-06-07 16:15:15

It's too slow for me, in this part. I mean, all the pieces are there. This is more of a preferential argument rather than something technical or constructive.
I am one that does not typically tread in the sci-fi shelf, because, frankly, surreal doesn't really interest me.

All I can really comment on is the character again. He seems flat to me. He's going through a growing experience, but it seems to be secondary to the description about how he gets there. I almost feel like the main character is the mental evolution of our protagonist instead of the protagonist, and that disinterests me.

I've always walked this weird line of how much action is too much action, and how much description is too much description. And for me, here, I didn't really get enough of either. It seemed to be a release of concepts more than a story.

I'll be to part three soon. Pretty good job on the suspense, although, for an alliance of extraordinary individuals, you'd think they'd be smart enough to kill him

needs, especially a short story, is a character as quick as he/she is deep.

The point of this section is obviously how he achieves this advanced thought and talent, but it stretches things out too much for me. It's hard to stick with it.

Overall, as an opening to a bigger piece, I'm not sure whether I would continue reading it (I'm going to regardless, but for the sake of being an unprompted reader). I'm thinking that I would open up the second part and skim it to see if more happens in the way of action or character, as opposed to conceptual things.

I did like the ending though. I can't continue to part two today as for I'm a busy man, but I'll be there soon.

Keep on keeping on.
