Title article: after that afternoon
Date: 2008-08-26 19:11:08
significant
the severed ties of endearment caught up in tangles of youngness and the sweet taste to have to give away, and although the returning may be at ocean's length, never the same as when it was in bloom prior the return; in the end, still abiding by rules set in concrete loves, like true lovers do, always. written in the only way it could have been, by you, timothy.

Title article: My Present
Date: 2008-08-26 18:04:23

comparing the heart fragile to that of wings on a bird put a great image and perspective on the handling of a love; carefully and gently as it has already been hurt, torn and abused.

Title article: Politically Correct?

for such bold comments you place on other writers' work with wit, i'm surprised by this and find this a mild euphemism compared to your comment works or the works of Bukowski, who would've embraced this idea, but would've said it with a middle finger, two whores and a beer after a bar fight. a little watery, but i do agree fully and enjoy my cigarettes with whiskey. i admire your work, harmattan.

Title article: WO(W)NDERFUL WIFE
Date: 2008-08-22 09:31:18

i had to read this twice over to make sure i was getting it right. quite simple the poem, as is don, and his wonderful supportive wife. wow! i have to say, though, the image of the dancing girl is intriguing.

Title article: Walpurgis Night
Date: 2008-08-22 09:12:07

nicely done. i read it as a song little kids may sing out of superstitions on the marry-go-round or jump-roping. it has that sort of tradition-like feeling behind it.

Title article: HENPECKED HUSBAND
Date: 2008-08-22 08:52:13

although i'm not one for writing in rhyme, i must say your effort is there and on the some, grasping straws is where i found it most humorous (Captain Jex???). ridiculous or not, i understood it. good work!

Title article: Hoping The Sun Doesn't Rise
Date: 2008-08-22 08:45:43

i thought this poem was good. a slimmed mild version of confessional poetry like that of sexton's, plath's or even william de witt's. i feel like you have good imagery, my only suggestion would be to phrase in a more peculiar way, but that is i. you know my style! good work!

Title article: the disquiet fall

Kneck(nĕk)
n.1.(Naut.) The twisting of a rope or cable, as it is running out.

you surely have sailed some harmattan?

thank you for all comments, good or bad.

Kneck, like the twisting of a rope.

Title article: Traces of Cabernet

gorgeous anna! why you write is why i, too. the romanticism in this poem seems brushed by baudelaire, just a touch but it's there. i love your voice of word so smooth.
