About Myself: My writings began as short little stories. But then I began to experiment my writing style into the world of poems. And ever since then I haven't been able to stop writing poems. For me, poems are more fun to write and they are alot more challenging.

I basically write about anything that seems relevant to me at the time. Most of my poetry is about me in a way. Every thought that I include in my poems is usually a thought I personally feel or have felt in the past.

I really do not write anything on the mellow or happy side. So, if you're a person who likes things to be upbeat and sugarcoated....then nothing I write is for you. And if you don't like what I write just save me the time and don't comment. Because most importantly, I don't write these poems to later see who thinks I did a good job or who thinks I fucked up. I write them for myself.

Lastly, some of my poems might even offend you because of the subjects i oppose within them. I personally feel like this country is going in the complete opposite direction of what is right...and I won't call myself an American anymore. I will not be accused for what this country does to itself. And I am surely not proud, and won't protect a flag that stands for nothing it foolishly preaches.

What a day may bring, a day may take away. -Thomas Fuller

i'm not sure what to rate this...so i'll be fair to not give out any rating...but anyway, i really didn't see the point to this although on some level i could connect with it..seeing as how i'm still in high school and sometimes i, myself, scan my environment taking in all the stuff that is going on. and this reminded me of that.

Title article: Vylet
Date: 2008-10-15 10:38:41

i didn't care for this. yea it was disturbing but it seemed like that's all it was. disturbing. i thought the whole doll thing was weird and didn't effectively tell an entertaining story.
but don't worry, i'm sure the comments that will come after mine will just step on my opinions.

Title article: Musings Of A Superhero
Date: 2008-10-15 10:34:13

i really found this piece interesting. i liked how this topic just didn't fit into a "superhero" but also life itself. and i think this effectively conveys that a hero is not something that is everlasting. heroes don't stay heroes forever. and eventually people will find some way of doing away with them..to put them down. so yes, great story.
oh and i really liked your sentence about the poet thinking in metaphors....sometimes that's how i only think sometimes.

Title article: Forgiveness with a Catch.
Date: 2008-10-15 10:28:17

i liked this and i didn't. i enjoyed your writing style and i liked the subject you did cover...but i didn't think you did a great job with it. this just went too fast and i found myself not really getting into it.

Title article: What I Will, Want, and Wish
Date: 2008-10-15 10:24:11

i really enjoyed this...and i enjoyed every single paragraph. i thought you covered some great topics in this and i found myself agreeing with alot of what you had to say. and i really loved the paragraph about the girl you were talking about. very well done.

Title article: Secret British Body Shop
Date: 2008-10-15 10:19:16

well i don't understand why somoene would want you to make this comical...that would make no sense when the topic you are dealing with here is a serious one that shouldn't be taken lightly. so i think this is great as it is! wouldn't change a thing. i did like some of the creepy vibes i got while reading it and i thought your rhyming was pretty impressive in some parts. and most importantly, i think you conveyed what you needed effectively.

Title article: The Smoke-Stained Goddess
Date: 2008-10-14 16:39:41

i thought that was pretty good. your descriptive detail was pleasant to read and i could picture these two characters in my head.

Title article: Faithless
Date: 2008-10-14 16:33:54

Josie sounds like an unforgivable sad person...you made me despise her....so i think, if you made me hate a character, that's pretty good writing.

Title article: One Day
Date: 2008-10-14 16:04:59

i can't quite explain this in a way you could understand. so whatever seems odd will probably stay that way. this poem is for myself, i'm not out to write a line by line synopsis of it. you read it, you take whatever you want from it, and i'll keep the meaning for me. simple.

Title article: Mind Over Matter
Date: 2008-10-13 20:42:48

i did enjoy this all the way through. you did a great job keeping the story entertaining...you didn't let it trail off into a bore. and luke i thought, was very well portrayed for the slime that he was. i'm glad he got what he deserved in the end.
good story.

Feedback from Sorrow Is My Mask (resistanceisfreedom): yea i know....i haven't been able to write anything recently...my mind is kinda bogged down at the moment. but i am trying to put some more pieces together. right now they are all incomplete, but i'll finish them up. i keep wanting to post things but then end up deleting them because i think they're shit.

Of course we get along A couple of those last poems were from awhile ago, but yeah, I definitely have the darker side in me that I don't let come out and play that often. I've got a few more up my sleeve that I'm debating whether or not to post. I LOVE your stuff though. You have no problem just putting your emotions out there.

Feedback from Sorrow Is My Mask (resistanceisfreedom): really?? well that's great news. i was getting very irritated with the many annoying personalities she had.

You better, or I'll have to create a second profile and bash all of your existing poems because I'm cool and not a loser. Ha!
Feedback from Sorrow Is My Mask (resistanceisfreedom): haha yea i know i feel left out on the whole multiple profile thing. but i guess i'll just be lame and stay with one.

You are too kind (heh).

I like your poetry, now that I've delved into it a little bit more; it's so thought-provoking; it's excellent, really!

Cell... I like it because of how intricate all of the words used to describe a cell's composition are... if that makes any sense, at all (???). And your screen name (resistanceisfreedom) tells me you have idealistic views, and are in many senses a liberal... that is very cool.

Many happinesses!

Yo.
Feedback from Sorrow Is My Mask (resistanceisfreedom): hmmm interesting. i never thought of cell that way. thank you for your appreciation for my poems! i'm glad you enjoy them. yes, i do have idealistic views for sure. i'm glad you can accept me for that. Much happiness right back!
