explanation
lemme try to explain a bit behind the meaning of this story. 
 
it's kind of a stretch, but i was thinking about how people (teenagers especially) are confident and cocky about everything they do, and usually have no problems taking risks or doing stupid shit because they aren't worried about death. but when you're actually face to face with death, everyone is afraid, and some people might not realize until they actually have a near death experience or something. the dead kitty represents death, and the 2 boys come face to face with death and realize it's not such a lighthearted matter. 
 
that probably doesn't make sense but that's what i was going for lol.
