An interesting story. I like the idea of a supernatural being gaining it's own personality by coexisting and living out human lives. I feel the best attribute of your story is in the details of the old man hospital scene. You really paint a vivid picture of a man who has given up. My favorite detail in this scene is “The stained bed sheets that had bunched up…” I feel this line really sums up his life if you think about the bed sheets being like his soul. His soul is stained from killing the children, and has also become bunched up by only focusing on the guilt of his wrong doing. Like the bed sheets causing a large sore his bunched up emotions have also caused a very real and painful existence.
