About Myself: I have a lifelong love of reading and a secret desire to be an author, that my chronic bouts of procrastination have always managed to stall. I read The Lord of The Rings when I was nine, and from that most excellent starting point have always felt my favourite genre to be fantasy, although I consider the definition of fantasy to be as broad as the mind can wander. I would like to recommend the following authors: Brian Lumley, Katherine Kerr, Raymond E Feist, Robert Jordan, Jean M Auel, Anne Rice, Frank Herbert, Isaac Asimov and of course good ol' Tolkein. Wikipedia them or something, they're all excellent storytellers!

Actually, a lot of my stories share the same city. "The Commodore" tales take place in the fictional city Babylon, as does "The Rolling Stone" and "NOIR". The character Mercedes Masterson, who is the younger sister of the narrator of "NOIR", eventually crosses paths with The Commodore in a trilogy of film noir movies we are filming. We're currently in-production of the second film, in which The Commodore enters the series of films.

Also, the "David Spencer, Private Eye" story takes place in Babylon and mentions the Calvin mob family which will make an appearance at the end of "NOIR" and are prominent characters in the film noir trilogy, "Kings."

I also often consider "Rose's Thorn" taking place in Babylon, though it is never specified.

You're the first person I know of that's caught a connection between stories. Thanks.

Here's a teaser clip for "Kings 2", the guy in the black suit, sunglasses and duel pistols plays The Commodore (grown up, obviously):

'ello. I think I've already told you this, but I'll say it again:

You're such an imaginative and original writer. I absolutely 'heart' you!

A different take on the genre. Not bad, well written

If it feels nice and isnt right... thats an interesting take on your own reactions. Good poem

Title article: Dude, You Got Your Ass Kicked by a Girl
Date: 2008-05-15 00:21:50

This sounds exactly what my friends would say. There is no saving face once your mates start paying you out. So I'm calling this funny because it would be funny if it happened to one of my friends, not actually that someone was beaten up by a girl, but that there was ammunition we could use (man friends are worse than enemies sometimes)

Title article: I Feel Like Writing a Poem

Poems are about what you are thinking, so this captures that well

Title article: The Night Jaymie was Exorcised
Date: 2008-05-14 19:33:35

I like this. Strange kind of take on exorcisms, like its a step in the relationship. Very unusual and funny

Title article: The Minority
Date: 2008-05-14 02:00:19

I laughed at the intro, that fat nerd was classic. I am impressed with how you wove several different characters stories around the central plot, the zombie outbreak. This was gory fun, like a good zombie romp should be. interesting take on the zombie, rows of razor teeth, running ability, some ppl turning straight away and some taking longer. Good stuff man

sey I ma cislexid

i dont really know what to say... this seems like the first quarter of an introduction, you have barely established anything with no hint of a story or premise. I can relate to what I know of the character though, maybe you should keep writing if you know where you want to go, then it will be easier to judge
