About Myself: I have a lifelong love of reading and a secret desire to be an author, that my chronic bouts of procrastination have always managed to stall. I read The Lord of The Rings when I was nine, and from that most excellent starting point have always felt my favourite genre to be fantasy, although I consider the definition of fantasy to be as broad as the mind can wander. I would like to recommend the following authors: Brian Lumley, Katherine Kerr, Raymond E Feist, Robert Jordan, Jean M Auel, Anne Rice, Frank Herbert, Isaac Asimov and of course good ol' Tolkein. Wikipedia them or something, they're all excellent storytellers!

Very nice work Dirkin. You should update that blog, I'll would be glad to link up. But, that's beside the point. You keep on writing, you're doing a hell of a job.

Okay, here's a better one:

Why don't Monsters eat Clowns?
Because they taste funny.

Heh...
Feedback from Mugen (Dirkin): Hmm i don't know any mexican jokes... (aussie), try this: why did the boy fall off the swingset? he had no arms.

Alfred, good to see someone missed the point entirely

I have had many days like this, luke. When you are in a hurry, you take shortcuts, like not tying your shoes. Its always those shortcuts that make the day worse for you, when they trip you up. I enjyed reading this, kudos

That is very sad. I would like to state my own opinion: that this to me is what I imagine people who commit suicide hope is the reaction they cause, that people feel instant regret for treating them a certain way. I think in reality people never feel guilty for someone killing themselves. Thought provoking work michelle

I love how abstract your messages are! Thats something I have never been able to achieve.

Its funny, I doubt I'll ever mature, mentally. I still do all the things I used to, play xbox, watch cartoons and sci fi, the only thing thats different is my body (well i drink and smoke now too!) I really connected with this poem man, well done

I really appreciate the message behind this poem. There really is a cycle of despair in generations of families.

I very much enjoyed this poem, the imagery and descriptions where very good. I think I interpreted this different than it was meant, as a poem that is indirectly about blood? Good work

"I lost my love to lust’s embrace
stolen away to my disgrace"

I used to be into the rave scene, years ago. I met people who were in the state the poem speaks of, where 'need' for drugs became more powerful than the mere desire for fun. I have expemented enough to know the feeling that can never really be reached again after the first time, one that is always being sought ever after. It's a bit of a trap, people should remember that. I liked this poem a lot, excellent work.

Title article: I Can't Eat Doughnuts
Date: 2008-07-08 01:43:58

Wow his girlfriend was a bit of a paranoid stresshead. I found this funny, and I'm not sure if I will ever eat a strange doughnut again either
