It's nice to find something that is enjoyable to read. You gave the narrator a peronality, fed up and lonely? and the way you wrote it kept me reading right up until the end! It is actually a very good thing that you leave the readers to guess what the next day is going to turn out like and whether it will be a 'better' day or not. I think you wrote this well.
