Wow, a story with a rhyming scheme...fabulous! I had the feel of reading Casey at the Bat when I was reading this story. Well done and very cute. I look forward to reading more

Not a bad story, and very dark and twisted. I am confused as to whether she was naughty and came from a religious household and it played with her mind, or if she had been raped and was defiled that way. Interesting story and very brutally honest

Well hairy heck, I could have sworn that I read this before. But I didn't comment, was I crazy that day or what? Very well written and it's sad to know that the abuse does happen and that unintentionally she enables it. Another thing for us to consider is the emotional abuse that happens everyday without any physical scars....that happens a lot more than we care to admit....

Ok you wanted honesty and I'll give it to you, The emotions expressed in this poem are heart wrenching and touching. The length of the poem is not an issue for me cause poetry is what you make of it. It's the flow, it's too choppy. Not the best flow that you have had. I love the line though, Her words are flowers, growing upon my cemetery hill...potent, very potent. I want to know how come I can't find someone to worship me like you worship her? I promise I would treat them good in return....

I remember this story from when you posted it before. So sad, so soul touching and profound. And very touching considering the time of year that is coming upon us. South of San Antonio is some treacherous road. Driven it several times myself. A life-changing incident for anyone, especially for someone as receptive and open as you.

Hahaha, poisoning by mercury! That's only with wild fish you nut, not farm raised! Yeah some families have no clue. Some people have no clue how to be a part of a family. And some people can't contain their alcohol. Funny story as always...

I know I also said that the more I get to know you and your poetry, the more I have come to understand it's meaning and the fact that I know that it comes from your heart....

I was flipping through the stories of the last month and I came across this one. Since I was a former professional ballerina, I had to read it. You captured the essence of a performer almost exactly. I have performed with broken toes, the flu, about 3 weeks after knee surgery....you don't stop. It's the thrill of the performance and the applause and adoring of the audience that we crave. Ballet becomes part of our soul, and part of who we are. Without it, we don't exist. I will point out however, that she probably wouldn't have had children, most prima ballerinas don't until their careers are over. Nice capture of the dancer's essence
