About Myself: Dear Whom-ever-the-heck, Esq.

Ok, so let me start off by stating that I hate these 'All About Me!' thingummys.

I never know what to write...and I have a bad habit of rambling in them.

I love stories though. I'm more often than not reading something than doing anything else. I dunno how great I am at writing them; I hold my own I guess.

The things I post here are mostly me entertaining myself and are written solely for the purpose of getting the pictures in my head out.

I welcome criticism despite that, good or bad. I can't promise it will make me change anything if you comment; I'm lazy that way. But I do warn any that if I don't think I fully understand what is being critiqued, it's possible I'll message you for clarification.

Gory little details are my bread and butter.

So anyways, I look forward to reading some awesome stuff and possibly getting some different insight for my own stories.

<3,
UrzTrly

P.S. Also, naturally 'Seshat' is a handle; I'm neither Egyptian nor a goddess. But if you're bored enough & want to know more useless crap about me, including my real name, feel free to message me.

Well your gut instinct was dead on...
Very nice...like the story in there. The language was eloquent but efficient...not too soppy. Great job!

I'm wondering about the image at the top there...is that a unicorn? Can't really tell, but it almost looks like a medival hunting tapestry.

Anything to do with your poem?

OH! That's what I'm talking about...
This love poem felt much more like it had your personality behind it!!!

(Is somebody who uses what people write to dissect their Psyche)

Good work!

Hmmm
Not sure I can be very constructive with this; I'm not sure I know enough about poetry to criticize helpfully.

I liked that it told a story, but I thought it might have been a little too similar to other love poems. Not really a bad thing in itself.

Its just after reading your story 'Red Demon' and thinking how strange and original it was, this poem felt like you were not trying to speak through your own voice and experiences.

I know a story and a poem are kind of different, but I would have liked to see more of the personality that I saw in 'Demon'...just in poem from.

I hope I wasn't too rambly...and keep up the good work.

Preach it, Sistah!
I'm glad you liked it, even though I was a little harsh on her.

I love that her weight has been an bridge for others, thus far only women, to communicate through.

I actually made a friend through this story and the first thing she said to me was very similar to what you said in your comment!

Aren't stories cool like that?!

Pshaw!
You flatter me! But I appreciate it though.

I admit the birth of this one started out as a minor freakout I was having; the bits where the girl is dancing and the sense of her anxiety are actually me trying to bleed off some of that stress.

Then I decided to try and fill it out some more but I have the sneaking suspicion that I only managed to half-ass some actual plot besides that initial frenzy of words.

Oh well.

And you don't fool me, I very much enjoyed 'Red Demon'. Your stuff ist wonderbear too! ;)

Glad you enjoyed!
Would it surprise you to know I wrote this to the background music of some seriously awesome techno?

Thanks again.

Thanks!
I'm glad you liked it. A question if you don't mind:

Your comment said 'Nice symblism of women.' I take it you meant that the literay tactics used in the symbolism were nice or that you found how I portrayed women, symblised them, as nice?

Sorry if I make a mountain out of a mole-hill, but I was just curious. I know how I read my stories can translate very differently to how others read them.

And I like to see into other people's heads. ;)

Thanks again!
