I know it was rushed, there was a word limit I had to keep it to. I should've mentioned that, but about your points... 
 
1. Teacher expelled her intending to go to the principals office, but she began to cry as I said in the story, and ran out of the school. She was just too upset to handle anything further...I thought that was obvious?  
 
2. Remember how Nathalie talked in front of her mother (the barista) at Starbucks? Well that gave the mother and father some time to set up the ending the way they did. 
 
But I agree with both of you, it was too compressed, and i'll probably fix it in the future.

Thanks for the compliment! I thought it was a horrible story for a first. :) 
 
The first paragraph represented one of the daughters dying on stage, I brought it up in the ending when the father said he poisoned his daughters on stage performing his play. I also brought it up in the newspaper article. I know it was indirect, but reading it again without it, its better.
