About Myself: I've travelled all over the world. The most beautiful place I have lived was Norway. Though I am American, I was born on a military base in Japan, and have only lived half of my life in the United States. While in the states I've spent a lot of time travelling the roads of America; travelling by foot mainly. My life truly has been an adventure.

For those who are confused with the meaning of this haiku let me explain: mysterious she- an unknown female; bloody petals dripping red- scene of a crime; tragic blade appeased- another mystery: murder or suicide; tragic blade (the weapon used in the tragedy) appeased (if suicide then she, if murder then they)

you're right kanarf. some of the words are forced, but this is the first time I've tried poetry in this form. in fact, i'm still wiping away the brain fluid leaking out my ears.

I've tried something new with this poem; rhyming the first words and the last words. I found it difficult, yet challenging.

Yes, there are actually two characters within this setting. The shooter and the person shot. The first and last stanza are both from the shooter's point of view, I'll leave the rest for the reader to figure out.

The first rating was actually for your work, the second was for your comment. I figured I could rate all your writings that are on this page. The greatest aspect you can recieve from words is perspective! Obviously yours is limited. If I want to preach to you, guess what, I will. You can't limit the thoughts of other people by your own limited perspective of life. What I interpret is my own truth, even in your words. Life is philosophy whether you believe it or not; life is also a journey whether you believe it or not. If you're not on a journey then you're standing still. So, is this poem not going anywhere? I think it is, hence why I would assume that it is a journey. However, if you want to believe that your own poem is stagnant, then so be it, that is your own truth; I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise.

"remember when you WERE here?" Enjoyed the last line. Glad the character is not confused about his afterlife. Better to be confident and wrong than living in fear your entire life.

This seems a struggle for identity, yet, when you ask for wings of your own you want them to hold the power of the divine. How can you have your own wings and yet they also be the divine's? Don't get me wrong, this is a good poem. I just feel that life is an individual journey for each of us to experience individually. I mean, philosophy is the deep search for things "meaningful", yet, if those "meaningful" things were ever found would we need philosophy any more? I hope our journey never ends. And what can make a journey magnificent is the struggle it takes to reach "no goal". As long as we have a journey, whether negative or positive, we can be satisfied. Your words profess a journey that is different than anyone elses. Just imagine, if your journey was different, would you be able to write these words with such feeling and intensity? Remember, worth is something other people define about you. To me, there is no price tag on the human soul. To be worth nothing is to be priceless!

Title article: The Appointment: a micro-fiction
Date: 2008-07-24 15:04:04

So, this is a teenage boy who has a crush on a girl who works at a coffe shop. This must be a serious crush, for not many guys would wait in a booth for three and a half hours. Having also managed restraunts before, it's hard to believe that management would allow him to sit there for so long. Yet, this is a coffee shop and I don't know anything about those. He obviously knows the time she is going to be at work, the day, and also the fact that she changes her hair alot. If this wasn't a teenage boy, I would be under the impression that the character was a stalker. Some of the sentences stumbled me grammatically, like, "reserved by my over-stuffed backpack." Also the two sentences beginning with "Three and a half hours" didn't sound right to me. Maybe some restructuring is needed. "It's loud, even with the carpet and soft furniture," didn't go well together to me. Also the two "evens" so close together seemed awkward.

Okay, now that you have described what's on your mind,(like a synopsis of your person, or an introduction to your life), let me read one of your works.
