About Myself: Discovered the bug for writing after helping my daughter do a homework assignment where she had to write a story of some 1000 words. After I was finished with it(daddy's lil girl)I gave it to her to take to school.

Live on the east coast in the good ol USofA.

I like to read, so I should get around to yours eventually.

Liked it
You have me 'singin in the rain' gene kelly watch out...your probally to young to have the slightest idea of what im referring too. Anyway, thought your poem was good...and Mr.Bouley has some good advice to write what you feel God has inspired you to write, and don't let the wieght of the world shake your faith.

Insurance sucks! Car, house, medical, dentist...ect...Nothing is fair in this world when it comes to insurance. Have I told you I hate insurance companies? Didn't really no what u meant by pushing blue and yellow buttons but I enjoyed your story and am happy for your friend. The Tar mobile is making stops at hospitals again (was the patient in room 1135 by chance)......good story...but I want fogthorne and pugswallow.

nice start
I feel like watching an episode of the andy griffith show. I felt the authenticity of the era of mid 30's with the agricultural adjusment act and all that poor folk living. The dialouge seems to fit a poor black family of the deep south and I can only guess inside the fancy gasoline wagon..lol..is a rich white man wanting to take their farm to bring a highway thru....I sure im wrong so im looking forward to finding out how far off I am. Great start to a story. Now if ya dont mind,,,think ima gunna git off my god giving seat cushion and fetch myself a rootbeer.

Title article: A Ghetto Story

This story reminds me of so many songs,,,and not even the one 'in the ghetto' by the King Presley. Your story of ghetto living seems right on the money as I understand it in its extreme. So many great children who are never giving a chance to expierience a good life or oppertunities fills my heart with sorrow. I once saw a homeless women sitting in her box with what appeared to be child of only 4 with a sign pleading for help. I continued driving on that day. Reflecting on my uncaring actions, it changed my life. The next day I looked for that women and was going to offer them a hot meal or a bit of cash. As crazy as it sounds I even talked to my wife about asking her If we could take her child and give her a good life. There will always be poor and im truly sorry for that. Your story is very powerful and enjoyed its message.

Title article: is this poetry

3 stars for a good attempt
This is not poetry, its pure hatred. I don't really believe you think this way, just looking for reaction. If you ever take time to read the Bible(Some books in the old and new)you will understand why Jesus came to Earth to die. But I don't blame you for not believeing in something that is never there as we see it. That's why faith is such a powerful word.

Are you related to Dr. Lucifer by the way?

Title article: Through Open Eyes

This was really good in my opinion. Ya know, my father writes poetry with some selling in stores here on the east coast. He writes poems like this. You have a talent, and even though your poems are filled with sorrow(hence your name)it is a gift you should be proud to own.

Hey Pilgrim,,,,nice job
These are poems that I enjoy the most to read,,,easy to understand stuff. You know the poems where your brain doesn't hurt afterwards.

John Wayne is an all American hero, thanks for popping him on the screen for me...now I wanna watch one of his movies.

This was a good brief straight to the point moment of losing it. So pissed veins begin popping. And she, the victim, feels pity for his infliction. Decent lil quip(just made up a word..i think.)

i've gotta say, cause i'm funny that way, i really miss your other stories.

i, as you know, am blessed with adhd - which means that i have a very fast refresh rate. i used to really enjoy popping in on your page and rereading your work.

although your stories now are no doubt very well written and it is very easy to see that you have matured as a writer even in the short time you have been here - i really miss the whimsical side of russell.

i know it's a total pain, believe me, i'm still trying to slide my old stories back on my page - but i sure would love to see your old stuff back here again.

that's all - carry on!

and write on!

hey! puting bags over your head is a very dangerous habit! even paper like the kind you have on yours. why? well termites live in those things and they might mistake your head as a chunk of wood and have a feast upon your flesh. that was what happened to capone, after all.
