About Myself: Accountant, 55, aspiring writer. Married 2 children, 2 cats (not married to the cats but they think they rule the roost). See gallery for more pictures - George was starting to demand appearance money so I relegated him to the background.......teach him to be sassy!

Started writing last July and found that I couldn't stop. Manuscripts now comprise 3 finished novels (60,000; 85,000; 65,000 words respectively) one in progress (currently 20,000), 2 compilations of short stories (total 100,000 words), and some messing around with poetry, although I must confess that it's not my favourite.

That started as limericks on birthday and anniversary cards and now I can't get off the hook.

If anyone knows of a cure............I may be interested (although not JUST yet).

Sorry about the deletions, but they now form part of my first publishd work on www.lulu.com called "Selected Short Stories - Volume 1" please check it out.....

Hi! I just realized I haven't signed your guestbook yet so here we go. you might want to update your profile so it's not saying that the picture of you is George the cat lol
Feedback from Philip Neale (philneale1952): Now look, you've only got my word for it that the picture really isn't me..............agter all, I am a story teller.

Will get it swapped pretty damn quick guv'nor...

Phil (Or george) - he's pretty cool though (Geoge, not me............although....)

Well first off I would like to say that your mystery stories are some of the best if not the best I have ever read.

Second,

Hi.

Hi....
Feedback from Philip Neale (philneale1952): Thank you for signing in. Back at home now, it's 6.55 UK time and we've got House and Shark on TV tonight. Only watch US dramas, UK ones aren't up to much and there's too much bad language.

Phil

Me neither. Read it four times. Maybe it's the hour..........

Flash
Good piece of flash fiction, but I felt it could have led to more. Will it lead to more? It deserves to.

If that's what youy're looking for.........go for it.

Title article: Confessions of a Teenage Scapegoat
Date: 2008-07-05 15:37:11

Maybe I'M crazy then because I found it funny..........but then again it IS 10.30pm UK time, and if I'm not in beddie byes by 10.20, I usually turn into a pumpkin.

Wait a minute, I AM a pumpkin. Well would you look at that. No not that................that!

Sara, are you there.....?

Good short.

Strength
Having read all the above comments, and not being much of a poetry critic, all I can say is the words touched me. Anything else would be superfluous.

Title article: To Her Whom Cancer Took

Crude
The last comment was totally unnecessary and outrageously vulgar and foul.

If you cannot make proper use of the English language, do not use it at all.

Go someplace else and peddle your childish behaviour. You do not belong on here with the grown-ups.

Title article: A Final Goodbye
Date: 2008-07-05 11:37:32
Fantastic
Really didn't know you had this kind of stuff in you repertoire, sir.

Held my breath all the way through. We all have things like this to deal with, but I've never come across such clarity of vision on the subject before.

The piece was beautiful in its simple symmetry, and I could hear the silence..........took some guts to put it down in public.

Hats off.

Phil

Title article: Killing Me Softly
Date: 2008-07-05 11:26:32
Killing Me..............................
Well. I just feel like singing, and I'll continue with MY version of the words if you don't mind (everyone's a music critic).

I used to be in the school choir, and they spent a fortune on the organ before thay found out that the awful noise was me.

You don't want me singing, you really don't - my voice will strip the varnish from a door at fifty paces.

The comments you are all making fill me up. Unfortunately it's not with beer, so that's the downside.........

Mirror
I thank you for your most kind comments, but all the grammatical mistakes do not get culled before publication (I'm a poor typist).

The endgame will be played out next week, and if I say so myself, it's an absolute doozey........I never saw it coming and I wrote it.

You strum your pain, I'll strum my face thank you very much........there's nothing like a good strum to the face...........

Can I have your dictionary then?
