I absolutely love this poem!
Each of the images is powerful, connected by the color and a deeper progression. It opens with the sunrise warning of foreboding weather. Then comes imagery of inner rage and hurt, a personal glimpse of the emotions inside. Then it cuts to war and hatred. One fatal step past the rage. I watch a brutal, bloody death, caused by my own hands. Is the regret too late? Can I still find forgiveness? It transitions through an ambulance delivering salvation. My life is saved through the sacrificial gift of another. Now it turns to that deep desire for true love and the peace which if offers. It closes with a sunset, which ties back to the opening image, yet now it offers hope and promise. The poem hints at the greatest Son. It reminds us that the Lord is always there, even when we can’t see Him, with the grace we all need. It is kept personal with faith that He will “again grace this hand.” God is here for me personally, to touch and bless me. It shows our need and fulfills it thru love.

Title article: Childlike Snowflakes

I was dropping off my daughter at elementary school right before Christmas so the halls were filled with excited children bustling to class. I was in the moment, experiencing the excitement through the children. I was aware of how each child was so different, so full of their own personality. I watched how the teachers were greeting the children, interacting with them, talking to them, smiling at them. Then I saw my child’s teacher greeting each child as she ushered them into the room. The teacher was so careful to treat each child alike, equal, almost identical. I realized… she doesn’t even know my child. She has a unique personality, her own learning style, special needs, desires, struggles, and dreams. I could have whispered secrets, but the teacher was too busy trying to be “fair” to all the children. Would that be fair to any of the children? As I continued to watch the children, my heart began to weep. I drove home with tears streaming down my face and wrote this poem.

Trust Him
It is beautiful what God can do in your life. He will forgive when you confess it to Him and turn your life back to Him. Trust completely in Jesus and you will not be disappointed. We all fail, but He will never fail you. God is faithful.

This is what God is looking for.
A humble heart and honest prayer. These are the types of prayers He answers, ones from the depths of your heart. He can make wonderful changes in your life, far beyond what you could ask or think. May God continue to work in your life...

True
It was based on my life, but God has healed the hurt. The pain was quite real during the next 4 years of waiting for children. I realized I must make a choice on how I responded, as all must when we face difficult situations. I now am blessed with three children. Tohugh I still get teary eyed when I remember...
